At San Diego Comic-Con 2016, Telltale Games lifted the curtain on a few new details on The Walking Dead season 3, with the help of a few new screenshots.
Season 3 will not only continue the story that we have been following for the past two seasons, but will also establish an entry point for players who are new to the series. The developers intend to do this by introducing a brand new protagonist named Javier, who will be playable alongside Clementine, and will give players a chance to step into the shoes of a “survivor fresh to the series”.
According to the images, a few years have passed and Clementine is now in her early teens. She is seen sporting her iconic hat and now seems to be missing part of her left ring finger. But perhaps the most interesting image, found below, is her protecting a young child, who fans of the series might remember as AJ, the son of Rebecca from season 2.
The Walking Dead Season 3 is set to come out later this year, and the choices made over the course of the previous two seasons will carry over into this one. This of course is not a requirement for new players, but it helps to add weight to previously made decisions.
A few days ago Telltale Games also released the trailer for their new Batman series, which will be arriving on August 2nd.
