Square Enix has released a brand new screenshot for Kingdom Hearts 2.8 today. This screenshot gives us a glimpse at the Daybreak Town from Kingdom Hearts χ[chi].
Kingdom Hearts 2.8 is an upcoming collection of Kingdom Hearts games from Square Enix. It will feature Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance remastered in HD for the PS4 and Kingdom Hearts 0.2: Birth By Sleep A Fragmentary Passage, which is a prequel to Kingdom Hearts 3. In addition to these two games, the collection with also feature cutscenes explaining the story in Kingdom Hearts χ[chi].
The official Kingdom Hearts account tweeted out the following image accompanied by a message from the series creator Tetsuya Nomura thanking the fans for their support. You can check out this screenshot below.
The above screenshot shows us how Daybreak Town will look like when it is developed in Unreal Engine 4. This will be also one of the many towns that will be featured in the upcoming Kingdom Hearts 3.
Kingdom Hearts 2.8 is currently set for a release in 2016 exclusively for the PS4. It will be followed by Kingdom Hearts 3 set to release on the PS4 and Xbox One. Both of these games are being developed on Epic’s Unreal Engine 4.
