Kingdom Hearts 3 is set to launch sometime later this year and while there is still no concrete release date, the developers have reaffirmed that the game will be out this year.
The last trailer for Kingdom Hearts 3 that confirmed the release window was at D23 Expo and now the new trailer that was released today at a fan event for the Kingdom Hearts mobile game shows the mini games that will be playable in the Giantland world in Kingdom Hearts 3.
This short trailer just focuses mainly on the mini games which are inspired by the classic Game and Watch handhelds. They will be playable in the game and also in the Kingdom Hearts mobile game. You can also catch a glimpse of Twilight Town and appearance of some old friends including Hayner, Pence and Olette.
Kingdom Hearts 3 is being developed on Unreal Engine 4. It is currently confirmed for the PS4 and Xbox One and set to release later this year. The game is being directed by Tetsuya Nomura along with co-director Tai Yasue.
Kingdom Hearts 3 will conclude the story of Sora and his friends. It is supposedly the last chapter in this trilogy that also spanned numerous spin-offs across a wide variety of hardware. It was originally announced at E3 2013 in a dual announcement that also featured Final Fantasy XV.
