In Rainbow Six Siege’s upcoming update Operation Red Crow, two S.A.T. operators join Team Rainbow to help neutralize the threat residing in the new free map Skyscrapper. Now, Ubisoft has released the first teaser trailer for one of the operatives.
The video, as seen below, is very brief. It shows the new operator named Yumiko Imagawa firing six projectiles, from what appears to be variation of a grenade launcher, onto a reinforced wall. The projectiles then unravel to a star-like shape and begin emitting flames. From what we can tell, these are explosives that will create small holes in the walls that will not destroy them completely, but still allow you to attack enemies while at the same time providing a level of cover for the player.
The first of the two new Japanese S.A.T. operators to be revealed, Yumiko Imagawa is also known by her nickname Hibana (meaning spark in Japanese) due to her impressive skill with explosives. She will use the Type-89 and SuperNova as primary, and the PM9 and P229 as secondary weapons. You can learn about her in detail on the official Rainbow Six Siege website.
The second new operator, as well as a demo for the new update, will be revealed during an Operation Red Crow panel from the 12th to 13th November. You can check that out on the official Rainbow 6 Twitch channel.
Released back on 1st December 2015, Rainbow Six Siege is available now on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and the PC. You can also find out more about the previous Skull Rain Expansion here.
