Marvel’s Spider-Man will launch on September 7th and while Insomniac has officially revealed close to a dozen of costumes for the game, many are still shrouded in mystery and will be only known after the game launches in early September.
A major story-related costume is potentially leaked recently through Funkopop, who is distributing official merchandise featuring Spider-Man cast as a bobble-head. This costume might not be a surprise for those who have read the comics since it was already implied due to the inclusion of a major story villain, but it is still interesting to see nonetheless.
This costume is for the Mr. Negative version of Spider-Man. It has been previously seen in the comics however for Marvel’s Spider-Man, the design appears to be a little different.
It is also possible that this is another costume entirely, however even though it might have the familiar black design, Insomniac has clarified numerous times that Venom or Symbiotes won’t be a part of this new Spider-Man game, so we can rule it out.
Recently, the retail copies of Spider-Man were spotted in a warehouse so the game might start shipping out to retailers, which can result in an early leak. The review embargo is set for September 4th. Insomniac Games also gave a presentation on the behind the scenes development recently at devcom.
Marvel’s Spider-Man will be released on September 7th for the PS4. It is being developed by Insomniac Games and will be published by Sony Interactive Entertainment.
