New Splinter Cell Game Reportedly In Development With Michael Ironside As Sam Fisher

Ubisoft still hasn’t revealed a brand new Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell game after they released Splinter Cell Blacklist for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. According to some rumors, they are actively working on a new game in the series that will also feature Michael Ironside as Sam Fisher.

These rumors originated from gaming forum NeoGAF. The person who has revealed this rumor has contacts inside Ubisoft and has shared reliable information regarding some of their games in the past.

According to this person, his source has told him that a new Splinter Cell game is being developed by Ubisoft with the mocap session taking place at Ubisoft Toronto. He also confirms that Michael Ironside will return as Sam Fisher.

Regarding other games, I haven’t been involved with Steep or Wildlands, but I was surprised Splinter Cell didn’t appear at E3. I know Ironside is back. He was in the studio, I said Hi to him and his daughter. He was shooting a movie with Amy Jo Johnson, and I know someone who worked on that set and Ironside confirmed to him he was doing the new Splinter Cell. I know Toronto has the mocap studio for it.I’m hoping to hear or see something unofficial, if not official, this year, but its been hard to get anything beyond “It’s Happening”.

As it stands with every rumor, take this one with a grain of salt. Although when it comes to Ubisoft, they have a tendency to leak games ahead of their official announcement so this rumor can be true.

From the looks of it, this might be way early in development which explains why it was missing from their E3 2016 press conference. Hopefully we will find out some information about it at the upcoming Gamescom.
