During their panel at PAX West yesterday, Telltale games announced some new details about their highly popular The Walking Dead series of video games, including the new name for the third season.
Originally announced back in June of 2016, the official title for season 3 will be The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series – A New Frontier, and will serve as both a continuation and a starting point for the story. The season will contain five episodes and take place four years after the events of The Walking Dead Season 1.
This new season will not only feature returning protagonist Clementine, now in her early teens, but will also introduce a new playable character named Javier. Choices made over the course of the previous two seasons will also carry over into this season and will help add weight to previously made decisions.
The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series – A New Frontier is set to debut this November for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, Mac, iOS and android, with no official word as to if the game will be getting a release on last gen consoles. The game will also receive a special Season Pass Disc on consoles which will include the first episode, as well as access to the next four episodes as they become available.
