Assassin’s Creed is one of the biggest franchise from Ubisoft. It should come as no surprise that they are already hard at work on the next installment in the long running series however details regarding it are still shrouded in mystery.
In a new leak that comes from PSU, they state that the codename for the next Assassin’s Creed game is ‘Dynasty’. The website also speculates the possible setting for the next Assassin’s Creed based on the codename and lists China as the main location. This has now been confirmed to be false by Kotaku journalist Jason Schreier. He states that while he believes that the codename is real, the game being set in China is not.
I believe the codename is real but the part about China is made up

The previous two Assassin’s Creed games have also leaked in the past. The first time this happened was with Assassin’s Creed Victory which ended up as ‘Syndicate’ followed by Assassin’s Creed Empire as ‘Origins’. Considering the randomness of such codenames, it is definitely not a good idea to speculate the setting from it.
If you are curious to know about the location for the upcoming entry in the series, you should keep a closer eye at what Ubisoft has hidden in their own games. In the past, these games have hidden the location for the upcoming games with hints about their protagonists and sometime Ubisoft also takes survey for a brand new game and lists possible location in them.
