In Ni No Kuni 2, you will come across a lot of hidden treasures ranging from powerful Higgledy allies to good old-fashioned treasure chests. The majority of these are tucked away in dungeons, but some chests, basically the blue ones, contain a greater amount of loot than the red chests and are very easy to open but it will take some time before you can unlock them.
Make note of any blue chests you find on your way because it will take you some time before you are able to open them. After you have completed chapter four and gained access to creating your own kingdom, you can build the Evermore Spellworks. Carrying out research at your Evermore Spellworks allows you and your crew members to learn new spells and bolster existing spells.
How To Unlock And Open Blue Chests In Ni No Kuni 2
To start off with the procedure of opening the blue chests, you will need to get your kingdom to level two, which means that you will need to recruit twenty five citizens and build enough facilities to do so. This whole process will take time and money, so you will need to be patient.
Once your kingdom is on level two you can upgrade the Evermore Spellworks to level three. Research the Specific Spell development ‘spring lock’ found at the bottom of the research list. Fortunately, there are no individual citizen requirements for this spell. This spell research requires 235 IQ, which means you will probably need at least three citizens at work to get past the IQ requirements, depending on how far you have progressed into the game.
Now you can open all the blue chests that you will find. However you must remember that this spell will not work on the blue chests that you had found in the Dreamer’s Door dungeons. You will need to find the dreamer’s orbs for these blue chests to open in the dungeons.
