Niantic Labs, developers of the wildly popular augmented reality game, Pokemon GO, are now permanently banning users who use any exploits and violate the terms of service. As we recently reported, players who used GPS exploits to catch region specific Pokemon, received a small punishment.
The players were punished by simply being removed from the battle, however, Niantic is now taking severe actions against these cheaters. Players who use Bots, GPS hacks, and any other exploits may face a permanent ban.
On their website, Niantic stated their terms of service. If a user violated these terms of service, it may result in a ban. The note states, ” This includes, but is not limited to: falsifying your location, using emulators, modified or unofficial software and/or accessing Pokémon GO clients or backends in an unauthorized manner including through the use of third party software.”
The note continues, “Our goal is to provide a fair, fun and legitimate game experience for everyone. We will continue to work with all of you to improve the quality of the gameplay, including ongoing optimization and fine tuning of our anti-cheat system.”
