Square Enix has confirmed the release date for their upcoming action RPG, Nier Automata. This is a joint collaboration of Square Enix with Platinum Games. It is the sequel to the cult classic Nier, that was originally released for the PS3 and Xbox One.
Nier Automata continues the story of the original game and features the same twisted world and characters that are the staple of the series director, Yoko Taro. You can watch its TGS 2016 trailer below.
The game was also confirmed to release on February 23, 2017. It is announced for the PS4 and Steam. The developers have stated that they are aiming for a worldwide release but it is unknown whether this release date is for Japan or worldwide.
