Night Dive Studios Is Still Working On Turok 2

Originally released on the Nintendo 64 back in October of 1998, Turok 2: Seeds of Evil is a first person shooter that follows in the footsteps of it’s highly acclaimed predecessor, Turok: Dinosaur Hunter.

Now developer Night Dive Studios has announced that Turok 2 is still being worked on, and will be heading to modern platforms. The developer then explains that the lack of transparency regarding updates about the game were due to contractual obligations, and that they are working hard to deliver the highest quality available for the game.

The developers had this to say:

“We’re well aware of the demand for Turok 2 and it is still in development…in fact we started development just shortly after the launch of the first Turok. Turok 2 is a bigger game, more enemies, more weapons, more locations and most importantly…Turok 2 had Multiplayer.”

Night Dive Studios has a record of restoring old games to modern platforms, having previously worked on remasters for both the original Turok, as well as games such as System Shock. So fans can rest assured knowing that their game is in good hands.

Turok 2 will be heading to the Xbox One and PC, hopefully sometime in the near future. The developers said that they would release the game “when it’s done”.
