With the confirmation coming in straight from Nintendo, it seems the Japanese giant’s next generation console will be releasing next year. Nintendo’s recently released financial reports confirmed that they’re planning on releasing the NX in 2017.
The reports states the following:
For our dedicated video game platform business, Nintendo is currently developing a gaming platform codenamed ‘NX’ with a brand-new concept. NX will be launched in March 2017 globally.
No other details were mentioned but at least we now know when the console will actually come out.
Details on the Nintendo NX console are scarce and we’re not even 100% sure if it will be a home console yet. Leave it to Nintendo to do something the average gamer would never expect as shown by the innovative controllers of the Wii and the Wii U.
