Nintendo has started working on a new 3D Legend of Zelda game and is apparently recruiting for a level designer and 3DCG designer.
The job listing is posted on the Nintendo Japan website where the requirements are in Japan. The job listing also asks for the person to understand communication in Japanese for the development team. There is nothing out of the ordinary to find in the job requirement. It asks for a level designer that can create dungeons among other things.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild received almost universal critical acclaim at launch, currently scoring a hefty 97 Metacritic and Opencritic score. It was released in early 2017 for the Nintendo Wii U and Nintendo Switch. The game was announced back in 2013 with the launch event of the Nintendo Wii U.
Breath of the Wild is the highest selling Zelda game and has sold through more than 10 million copies worldwide, so it won’t be surprising to see Nintendo working on another game in the series. We won’t see it in a while though since it can take a few years before it is up for release.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild also received 2 post-launch expansions which were a part of the season pass for the game. It was the first open-world Zelda game developed under the direction of series veteran Eiji Aonuma.
