Nintendo Switch Online Starts Sep 18 With 7 Days Free Trial; Nintendo Direct Tomorrow

Nintendo has officially announced the launch of their online multiplayer service and confirmed that a new Nintendo Direct will be held tomorrow to share more details about it.

Those who want to test the online multiplayer service at launch can avail a 7 days free trial. This online membership also includes 20 free games from the Nintendo Entertainment System that will also support online multiplayer.

Nintendo Switch Online service will begin in North America on Tuesday, Sept. 18. A seven-day free trial will be available for all Nintendo Account holders once service begins. Look for more information about the features and pricing of Nintendo Switch Online in the Nintendo Direct on Sept. 13

The price for Nintendo Switch Online is set at $3.99 per month or $7.99 for 3 months. If you want to subscribe for the whole year, it will cost you $19.99 and this membership will also include the ability to save data to the cloud and makes backups in case you decide to sell your Nintendo Switch. If you want to opt for a family plan, it is also offered for $34.99 per year.
