The Order: 1886 Dev: Frame Rate Is Already Solid; Game Won’t Be “Generic” But “Unique Experience”

The recently released gameplay trailer of The Order: 1886 again started a debate about the game and its gameplay. The original Twitch stream that showed the latest gameplay did it no favor, thankfully, we did get some direct-feed screenshots that looked spectacular.

Andrea Pessino seemed to be rather psyched about the reactions of the fans regarding the game, and he took it to himself to answer some of the questions on Italian forum

First, he talked about the people claiming the game is downgraded, which isn’t the case here at all. The newer build, which is just 3 weeks old, runs with a lot more post processing effects as detailed in the screenshot below. (Source)

Andrea Pessino explained (Translated) that the new build is a lot better and how the frame rate is a lot more stable now.

The game is now more detailed, dynamic and complex than it has ever been. Of course it’s not finished yet and certainly we’ll be able to get better performance before the release but in most cases, 99.99%, the frame rate is already solid and complexity is superior to what we promised. I’m sorry you’ve to see the game in such a terrible and low quality footage. If everything goes well, this situation will be fixed as soon as possible.

The game was also called “generic” by some users based on the few minutes of footage that we have seen. Pessino didn’t seem to agree with it saying that this one will be a “unique experience.”

The core of the game is a TPS, for sure. It will not be a revolution, this has never been the intention, but I can assure you it’s not “generic”. It will be a unique experience as everything is mixed together, you’ll see..

If you are a fan of the ‘interactive cinematic moments’ like seen in the latest gameplay trailer, you should be glad to know that The Order: 1886 will have them.

absolutely – one of the things we are trying to do is to have a lot variety in the things you do moment to moment. And thanks! : )

He also said that he can’t really comment on the release date and wanted to thank the fans who were supporting the game.
