The Order 1886 is one of the most anticipated PS4 exclusive of this year. It was originally supposed to release last year but was delayed to an early release this year. But this delay has its benefits as well since it has allowed the developers to polish the game, along with working with a more updated SDK for the PS4. This, of course, results in them utilising the PS4 hardware to their best and we can clearly see this judging from the comparison of the very early build of The Order: 1886 to the latest build. The gif below is the old build while the one below it is the new build.
This is definitely a big visual upgrade from the early build of the game. This is not limited to a simple upgrade in graphics as the character models also look a whole lot better now. There are more effects added like motion blur, which in turns helps with the visuals. Along with this, we have also seen some artistic change in lighting showing a shift in the time of the day as the comparison below demonstrates. Same here with the one below being the old build and the one below it being the new build.
The Order 1886 is technically a very impressive game and it is great to see the developer utilizing the full potential of the PlayStation 4 hardware.
The Order: 1886 will be released on February 20 2015 exclusively on the PlayStation 4.
