Over 11 million people have played Bloodborne on the PS4

From Software’s PS4 exclusive Bloodborne may have been more successful than we thought with at least 11 million people having played the game.

Marking the fifth anniversary of the PS4 in Europe, Sony EU released a new video showcasing trophy and gameplay stats from different games. The video showed that 630,000 users had gotten the Platinum Trophy in Bloodborne so far.

We know that around 5.6% of users have the Platinum Trophy in Bloodborne, so simple math states that at least 11,250,000 gamers have played the game.

Although the game’s sales figures are probably much lower than this since the physical copies can be played by multiple people, plus the game was featured as a free title on Playstation Plus early this year as well as being one of the titles on offer on PS Now. It is still impressive that over 11 million people started the game, with the name possibly being even higher as many people could have just redeemed the game on PSN Plus and not played it yet.

Bloodborne released back in March of 2015 for the PS4 as an exclusive Soul-esque title for the Sony platform. The game has proved to be both a commercial and critical success, being one of the highest rated games of the generation.

Developers From Software are currently working on Sekiro: Shadow’s Die Twice; the game is expected to release in 2019 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
