It has been 4 months since Blizzard released their hero-based first-person shooter game known as Overwatch. The game has since been one of the most popular titles in the gaming world. Since its release, Overwatch has broken record after record, and has crossed milestone after milestone.
According to Blizzard Entertainment, Overwatch now has more then 20 million registered players. Back in May, before the release of the game, Blizzard released a Beta for the fans to check out the game and get a feel for it. The Beta was a tremendous success as Blizzard announced that almost 10 million players had signed up for the Beta and more then seven million players played the game in the first week of release.
With success like that, it’s not surprising that Overwatch crossed the 20 million player milestone. This 20 million player count includes players from all three platforms that the game is available on. Even though Blizzard has banned tons of users for several exploits, like the Lucioball glitch where you could spawn in as an offensive heroes which would allow you to kill other players in the game, which was prohibited in Lucioball. The banned players were forced to make new accounts if they wished to play the game.
Blizzard has been working hard on Overwatch, and is trying to make it an amazing experience for the players. If you are an Overwatch player yourself and do not know about the Halloween event that is currently underway, then click here for details. Overwatch is now available on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
