Servers for Blizzard’s brand new title Overwatch went live earlier today along with a day one update that adds a slew of new content to the multiplayer first-person shooter. The mandatory patch weighs in at 9.6GB for PS4 users, and is now available for download on the platform. Based on reports, the update for Xbox One users is of the same size.

Servers for the game went live at around 4pm PT/7pm ET, and preloads for the digital version were available on all three platforms. Additionally, PC users who participated in the beta were given the option of updating the beta client to the final build.
Based on the game’s news feed, the next major content update is slated to arrive next month. Among other things, it will feature the much anticipated competitive mode.
