Overwatch Competitive Season Concludes In Two Weeks

After a short delay in June, the Overwatch Competitive Season started back in July. The Competitive Season for Overwatch is finally coming to an end after a month of intense, action packed matches.

On the Battle.net forums, Blizzard Entertainement announced that the first Competitive season for Overwatch will come to an end on August 17th. Players who participated in the Competitive season will not leave empty handed.

Competitive players who completed their required placement matches, will be rewarded with a unique spray as well as a player icon. Players who finish in the top 500 in their region and platform will be rewarded with an additional player icon and a special animated spray.

Players who participated in the Competitive season will also be given Competitive points according to their performance. Participants can expect to receive more then 300 points, which they can use to acquire golden weapon skins.

Here is a list of points rewarded according to a player’s Skill Rating (SR):

  • SR 0-39: 10 CPs
  • SR 40-45: 20 CPs
  • SR 46-49: 40 CPs
  • SR 50-52: 60 CPs
  • SR 53-55: 80 CPs
  • SR 56-59: 120 CPs
  • SR 60-64: 200 CPs
  • SR 65+: 300 CPs

The next Competitive Season starts on September 6th. Blizzard Entertainment will be working on making improvements to the next Competitive season.
