Paladins: Champions of the Realm, the upcoming competitive multiplayer game from the developer Hi-Rez Studios has just begun its closed beta phase on PC. This beta involves a competitive online action experience with a collectible-card-based progression system, giving players tactical choices for leveling-up their abilities in each game.
Teams in Paladins battle against each other to capture and hold control points, and ultimately to destroy the opponent’s base. Each player will have a primarily weapon, a set of combat and movement abilities, and a personal mount which will move them quickly between fights. Moreover, they’ll also have a customizable deck of “skill cards” that will improve various skills and abilities.
Players can play Paladins: Champions of the Realm by signing up on Paladins’ website. Additionally, players can also purchase Paladins Founder’s Pack for $19.99, which includes an exclusive Fiery Warhorse mount and 20 card chests. However, players may lose in-game progression during the beta phase but any purchases made will always be saved.
During the first phase of the closed beta, access to Paladins’ servers will only be available from noon to midnight EST. Streaming and video capture will also be included from the beginning of closed beta.
