Path of Exile’s PS4 release has been pushed back a few months due to a longer than expected certification process.
Developers Grinding Gear Games announced on their website that they’re forced to delay the PS4 release of Path of Exile which was previously set to release in December with the 3.50 update.
The game will now be released in early February. They also hope to take this time to better tweak the game, ensuring better performance when it releases:
We underestimated the amount of work it would take to finish the certification process during the busy Christmas period. While we hope to have everything ready in January, we feel a lot more comfortable promising early February as a target release window. This will also give us time to work on game performance/frame rate, which we feel could be improved before release.
Really sucks for gamers who were hoping to play Path of Exile on PS4 over the holiday break. Hopefully there’s no more hickups with the game’s release in the future.
