Persona 5 R domain updated and moved to Atlus servers, possible announcement incoming

The supposed domain for Persona 5 R, the rumored enhanced version of 2017’s PS4 exclusive, has been been updated which could mean that an announcement is coming soon.

The “P5R.JP” domain was updated today on Christmas Day December 25, 2018 (via). The update consisted of the domain being moved from Japanese Domain Registrar Onamae’s servers to Atlus’ servers. Currently the website leads to nowhere and returns a HTTP 403 Forbidden error but that’s to be expected.

An official announcement could coming at the Persona 5 the Animation 1 hour Special titled “Dark Sun…” which is set to premier on December 30. There will be some news regarding the Persona Super Live 2019 Concert during the same day, so this announcement could be a planned surprise.

Past instances with Persona Q2, the two recent Dancing games as well as Catherine: Full Body lead us to believe that an announcement will be made in the coming days as all three games were officially announced after their domains were updated.
