After what feels like an eternity of waiting, Atlus has officially announced Persona 5’s release date in Japan: September 15th, 2016.

The release date was revealed at the end of the latest trailer for the game, which was shown during an official broadcast earlier today. Alongside the release date, we finally had a detailed look at the gameplay, as well as the reveal of some new characters.

You can watch the trailer for yourself below.

The broadcast also announced the release of a special 20th Anniversary edition of the game, which will include a Persona 5 art-book and exclusives in-game personas and uniforms from Persona 3 and 4. A 5 set CDs collection covering music from the entire series will also be included.

Unfortunately no details regarding a western release date for the game was revealed, but since the game is confirmed to make an appearance at E3 2016 next month, we probably won’t be waiting too long to find out. Here’s hoping!
