Play Overwatch for Free on Xbox One And PS4 Next Weekend

Overwatch developers, Blizzard Entertainment, announced that fans who haven’t purchased the game yet, will be able to play it for free next weekend on the PS4 and Xbox One.

PS4 and Xbox One users will be able to download and play Overwatch from September 9-12 for free. Players will not have access to the complete game, however, they will be able to play all the characters and maps available in Overwatch.

On September 9th at 11am, players will be able to download the game from their respective stores. You will be able to find the game with the name, Overwatch Free Weekend, on the PS4, and on the Xbox One, you can search for Overwatch: Origins Edition Free Weekend. The PS4 version will be 9GB in size, while the Xbox One version will be 15GB in size.

The game will be completely free to play the game, so PlayStation users will not require a PlayStation Plus subscription, and Xbox One users will not require a Xbox Live Gold membership to play the game.

Similar to the full version of the game, players will earn unlock items and other drops, however, no trophies or achievements will be unlocked during the event. If you choose to purchase the game, your progress will carry over from the event to the full game.

The event starts on September 9th at 11am, and will end on September 12 at 4pm.
