PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Xbox One Gets Second Patch, Includes Further Optimization

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has received another update today for the Xbox One. Just like the first patch, this second update implements further optimization for the game making it running smoother on the Xbox One and Xbox One X.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds launched with a rather terrible performance profile. The frame rate of the game was unstable most of the times, especially on the Xbox One, which didn’t exactly make for a smooth experience.

The patch notes for this latest update for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds can be read below.

Optimization

  • Continued performance optimizations

In-game

  • The tuning range for the general sensitivity option has been expanded
  • Weapon recoil reduced across the board (Xbox Only)
  • Team UI will now correctly display voice chat status
  • Additional Localization updates

Bug

  • A variety of crash fixes
  • Fixed an issue where casting bar UI remains onscreen when spectating a target who died while using an item from their inventory

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds runs at native 4k resolution on the Xbox One X and native 1080p on the Xbox One. The game is developed on Unreal Engine 4 by Bluehole and it is part of the Xbox Game Preview program offering early access to games. It is now out of early access on Steam for PC after the launch of version 1.0, which also resulted in a combined total of 30 million downloads for the game across PC and Xbox One.
