PlayStation Plus games for August include Lara Croft, God of War, Stealth Inc 2

Sony has announced its Playstation Plus lineup of free games for month of August. A total of 4 PS4 titles will be added to the Instant Game Collection next month. For the very first time since the launch of the PS4, the PS Plus list varies the North American and European regions.

Leading the lineup of titles is Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris for the PS4. If you’ve played Guardian of Light, the first game in the Lara Croft series, you’ll know what to expect from its sequel. The game can be played in coop by up to 4 players, and can be played offline or online by a group of friends.

Next up on the list is Limbo for the PS4. It’s practically been available on just about every platform known to man, but if you’ve somehow missed it, here’s your chance to grab a great platformer.

Limbo isn’t the only platformer you’ll be getting next month, though. Stealth Inc 2: A Game of Clones will also be available as a cross-buy title for the PS4, PS3, and PS Vita.

PS3 and PS Vita owners will also get their hands the complete edition of the 2D tower defense brawler, Castlestorm. The game supports both offline and online coop.

God of War fans in the US will get the chance to play the latest entry in the series, God of War: Ascension, on the PS3. Unfortunately, the game will not be offered to PS Plus subscribers in Europe. Instead, they will receive thatgamecompany’s Flow as a cross-buy title for the PS4, PS3, and PS Vita.

Similarly, PS Plus subscribers in the US will get Q-Games’ Sound Shapes for the PS4, PS3, and PS Vita, while its replacement title in Europe will be thatgamecompany’s Flower as a cross-buy title for the PS4, PS3, and PS Vita.

It seems that European PS Plus subscribers will be getting a lot of love from thatgamecompany in August. Journey was added to the Instant Game Collection just this month, so if you have yet to try out all of their games, now would be a fantastic time to do so.
