Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee are very different from the previous mainline games and those playing the game will be wondering why they didn’t get it a few hours in.
The reason for this is that the game does not have a Bike, instead you now get to ride on Pokemon.
In Pokemon Yellow, the game Let’s Go is based on, you would get a Bike in Cerulean City, but now they’ve been replaced by a much superior mechanic in my opinion.
The game will give you the ability to ride different Pokemon as soon as under an hour in depending on your progress. Your first ride will most probably be in Vermillion City. There you can complete a short quest to get your first Pokemon Ride.
Talk to the man sitting in between the Pokemon Fan Club and the house next to it. Depending on your version of the game you’ll be asked a different task.
In Let’s Go Pikachu you’ll have to catch 5 Growlithe, doing so will get you an Arcanine to ride. In Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee you’ll have to catch 5 Meowth which you award you a Persian.
The ride function is really neat as you can ride both ground and air based Pokemon. Riding Charizard for example gives you a completely new perspective of your surroundings from up above.
