Eevee is a Pokemon that has been around since Generation I and has a total of eight evolutions or Eeveelutions as fans like to call it. This guide will help you get all eight of the eeveelutions in Pokemon Sun and Moon.
How To Get An Eevee:
Before we get into the eeveelutions, we must first catch an Eevee. In order to catch Eevee in Pokemon Sun and Moon, you must first reach the second Island. Once you are there, you will be asked to head to the Pokemon Ranch. On your way there, you will encounter an Eevee just before reaching the Ranch. You can also find Eevee on Route 4 and Route 6. It is easy to catch and won’t take a lot of effort, however, Eevee has an encounter rate of 5%, so this might take a while.
How To Get Eeveelutions in Pokemon Sun and Moon:
Once you have caught an Eevee, you can then evolve it into whatever Eeveelution you want. It is better get an Eeveelution depending on the type which is lacking on your Pokemon team.
Jolteon: Jolteon is one of the easier evolutions to get, as it only requires a Thunder Stone. You can get a Thunder Stone in the back of the Fossil Restoration Centre on Route 8. If you haven’t reached the Fossil Restoration Centre, or if you’ve already used the Thunder Stone, you can simply purchase one from the shops in KoniKoni City for 3,000.
Flareon: You can get a Flareon by using a Fire Stone on Eevee. You can find a Fire Stone in the Tunnel of Diglett. It is in a rock located at the North-West end of the Tunnel. If you are unable to get to the Tunnel of Diglett then you can also purchase a Fire Stone in the shops in KoniKoni City for 3,000.
Vaporeon: Vaporeon is another Eeveelution that requires a Evolutionary Stone. You can find one in the water on Route 8. Go to the western most part of Route 8. While in the river, you will see a Pokeball which has the Water Stone in it.
Leafeon: Evolving Eevee into Leafeon does not involve an Evolutionary Stone. In Pokemon Sun and Moon, in order to evolve Eevee into Leafeon, you must travel to the Lush Jungle near Route 8. Once in the Lush Jungle, find the big mossy rock. When you find the rock, train and level up your Eevee in the tall grass on the left side of the rock. Eevee evolves into Leafeon at level 13. It is better to evolve your Eevee at an early level, as it starts learning Grass type moves as soon as it evolves.
Glaceon: To evolve your Eevee into a Glaceon, you must first travel to the PokeCenter on Mount Lanakila. Once there, ride the platform on the right of the PokeCenter that takes you down into a valley. Follow the path until you reach the cave. Go down into the cave until you reach a big ice rock. Similar to the Moss rock for Leafeon, train near the Ice Rock and your Eevee will evolve into Glaceon at level 13.
Umbreon and Espeon: Umbreon and Espeon fall into the category of Pokemon that evolve when their happiness reaches a certain point. To get an Umbreon, your must reach that level of happiness during the night. Training during the night will help, and also keep Eevee in front of the party to raise its happiness faster. To get an Espeon, reach the happiness level required during the day. To make things easier, when catching an Eevee with the purpose of evolving it into a Espeon or Umbreon, use a Luxury Ball. This makes the Pokemon happier once you catch it. You can also make the Eevee hold a Soothe Bell, which raises its happiness faster.
Sylveon: To evolve Eevee into a Sylveon, you must teach the Eevee two Fairy type moves and get it to two hearts. Once done, level up your Eevee and it will evolve into a Sylveon. For a more detailed guide on how to evolve Eevee into Sylveon, click here.
