Pokemon Sword and Shield Best Starter Pokemon

With the new games here you must be wondering what’s the Pokemon Sword and Shield Best Starter Pokemon? Well although there might not be a definitive answer to the starter debate, let us reason with you for what we think is best.

Is Grookey the Pokemon Sword and Shield Best Starter Pokemon?

Grookey is 8th gen’s grass type starter that is honestly underrated, I mean who doesn’t love a grass monkey am I right?

An interesting tidbit on Grookey is that the first gym will be a grass type, so keep that in mind if you’re already planning out your strategy for the start of the game.

Grookey evolves into Thwackey at Level 16 and then into its most powerful form Rillaboom at Level 35. Although weak at first, Grookey gets really strong as it evolves which make it an ideal candidate for one of Pokemon Sword and Shield Best Star Pokemon.

Is Sobble the Pokemon Sword and Shield Best Starter Pokemon?

Sobble is the 8th-gen water starter, and like every year feels to be in the mid-tier of the starters.

Not a fan of the design honestly so will probably be skipping Sobble on my first playthrough. What are your thoughts on the design, do you think its the Pokemon Sword and Shield Best Starter Pokemon.

Sobble evolves into Drizzle at Level 16 and then into Inteleon at Level 35.

Is Scorbunny the Pokemon Sword and Shield Best Starter Pokemon?

Scorbunny, the fire type starter, like every generation is the most famous and interesting looking of the starters.

Personal thoughts on Scorbunny, the design of the evolved forms is pretty boring. The final evolution especially, Cinderace, doesn’t look like a third-step evolution but instead a discount Blaziken.

Although not my personal choice for most Scorbunny will be the Pokemon Sword and Shield Best Starter Pokemon during their first playthrough.

Scorbunny evolves into Raboot at Level 16 and then Cinderace at Level 35.

As a bonus here’s a poll on which starter players are choosing:
