Prey is an action-adventure game that takes place in space. The whole game is on the space station called Talos-1, and it is a huge area that you will explore as you progress through the game.
Like every other game, at the beginning of the game, players will have a hard time finding their way around the space station. To make things harder, players are not given a map, so getting from point A to point B can be a difficult task. This guide will help you acquire a map, which will make it easier for you to navigate through Talos-1.
How To Acquire A Map Of Talos-1 In Prey:
The map is extremely helpful at the start of the game, as players are trying to get familiar with their surroundings. Luckily, you can get your hands on the map fairly early into the game.
Before you start looking for the map, you will have to reach the Talos-1 Lobby. Once you are there, look for a doorway that says ‘Shuttle Bay’ on the top. When you locate the doorway, look towards the right side of the door and you will see a set of stairs. Go down the stairs and you will reach the Security Room entrance.
Once you have entered the area, you will see a locked door at the bottom of the stairs. Don’t go down the stairs, instead, look for a yellow pipe to your left. Climb onto the yellow pipe and go forward. Follow the pipe, and you will be able to enter the Security Room.
When you are inside the Security Room, you will have to activate the Utility part on the computer, which will allow you to download the map of Talos-1. Now that you have the map, you can start exploring and finding all the optional objectives, hidden treasures and locked safes.
