PS Plus users who are in the Middle East might be able to enjoy a better game in place of Heavy Rain because it is not available on their official PlayStation Store. Sony has announced the free games lineup in July 2018 for the PlayStation Plus subscribers just a few days ago. For the PS4 users, they will be able to get Absolver and Heavy Rain as part of the upcoming lineup, however, this doesn’t apply to the Middle East region.
PlayStation Plus subscribers in the Middle East region will be able to play Nex Machina by Housemarque instead of Heavy Rain. This is because of the lack of availability of Heavy Rain in the official PlayStation Store. Detroit: Become Human and Beyond Two Souls were available on the official PlayStation Store for the Middle East and both are from Quantic Dream.
This is not a bad trade-off because Nex Machina is arguably one of the best work of Housemarque and it has a rather strong 88 critic score average on the Metacritic. Meanwhile, those who pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition of Detroit: Become Human have also received a copy of Heavy Rain so instead of getting the same game, they can enjoy a better one with Nex Machina.
