Sony had earlier released a PS+ refer-a-friend promotion that allowed you to get up to $25 free PSN credit. The catch being that you had to refer up to 5 friends. Now Sony has officially started rolling out emails with the bonus credit, that can be redeemed on PS3/VITA or on PC Webstore.
The promotion originally launched back in August and ended on 4 September. To avail that promotion, we had to submit an email of a friend with a PSN account but no PS+. He would have gotten a 1 month PS+ trial and if he subscribed to a 3 month or a 1 year PS+ before the trial ended, both users would’ve gotten $5 credit as bonus. If we referred up to 5 friends and all 5 subscribed, we could’ve gotten $25 PSN credit for free.
The code, once redeemed, nets the user with $5 on their PSN account. It must be used before it expires and it will expire on “22 November 2013”.
Sony is recently announcing another promotion scheme, which can give you $10 in PSN credit on every $50 purchase. You can check out more details about that PSN promotion from here.
