Sony has confirmed the release date for PS4 2.50 Firmware Update, which should be released tomorrow on March 26, 2015.
This confirmation was posted on the official PlayStation Japan website and Sony shared some new screenshots for this 2.50 firmware update as well.
The main features that are included in this new firmware update are the following.
You can now suspend your PlayStation 4 during gameplay and resume at the exact same spot as you left it running. This feature is basically the rest mode except the game is kept running in the low power state and hence you don’t have to worry about saving and quitting the game before you turn off or put your PlayStation 4 in rest mode.
2. Support for 60 FPS Shareplay and Remoteplay
Remoteplay and Shareplay can now run at 60 FPS provided you have the bandwidth capacity for it. This allows for a reduced latency and much better experience that the default 30 FPS mode.
3. Backup and Restore Hard Disk
You can now backup and restore your PlayStation 4 hard disk content to an external hard disk. You can see this in the images below.
