PS4 Firmware 7.00 will have a HDR tuning function

PS4 Firmware 7.00 Beta invites were released earlier today and now we’re getting see some minor changes that Sony included in the new update. One of these additions is that new HDR tuning feature.

PS4 Firmware 7.00 will be quite a substantial update when it releases in the near future upgrading parties to 16 people, improving voice quality, adding the ability to install system updates without restarting the console and more.

Now the HDR feature is not something that they publicized but its there (via) and we’re thankful for it.

Although all games with proper HDR support have had settings inside the games themselves, this feature will allow players to set a system wide preference. It also appears that other applications which support HDR, like Netflix, that don’t have an in-app preference option will also be affected by this which is great!

Thoughts on the new addition? Were you hoping for this to be added? Let us know in the comments.
