Sony has released a brand new firmware update for the PS4 today that adds further stability to the system. This new firmware update should be live in all regions including North America and Europe.
The changelog for this latest system software update doesn’t list many changes except that it is for “Software Stability”.
Main features in version 3.11 update
- System software stability during use of some features has been improved.
This new firmware update size is around 250 MB, which seems about right for a stability update. Sony revealed the news about this new firmware update on Twitter and it went live after a few hours.
The last major firmware update for PlayStation 4 was released in September that added new features including Communities, YouTube Streaming, Twitch Video Sharing and the ability to share screenshots in PNG format.
