Sony has released a new firmware update today for the PS4. This PS4 firmware update was released out of nowhere and apparently requires around 300 MB of download. It is another mandatory firmware update that doesn’t have a proper changelog.
The changelog simply lists “This system software update improves the quality of the system performance.” There was no announcement from any of the official PlayStation Twitter account regarding this new update.
The last major firmware update for the PS4 was 3.50 and it was released just a few months ago, in April. This firmware update added a lot of new features and addition to the PS4 including Events and the ability to Remote Play on a Windows PC.
