The PlayStation Network will be down for 12 hours on Monday so start downloading games now! Sony revealed that PSN will be down due to “Routine Maintenance” on Monday 15th April. The maintenance will start from 8am PT (11amET) and will last until 8pm PT (11pm ET), a period of 12 hours!
If you try to sign in during the maintenance period, you will receive a maintenance notification when trying to get access to PSN , Sony states on its forums “The PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home and Account Management will not be available during the maintenance period. However, you will be able to access online play and apps, provided that you have signed in to the Network at some point prior to the time of the maintenance.”
In order to play online games on your PS3 or on PS Vita during maintenance period (Monday), the best way is to sign in now to ensure that you can do just that.
