PSN Servers Go Down Worldwide, Sony Looking After Possible Issues [Update]

PSN is currently down in the UK and US so if you have an account in that region and are trying to connect through PSN, there is a good chance that you won’t be able to go online on your PlayStation devices.

Update: Sony has managed to resolve most of the issues with PSN and services should work as normal now.

This started to happen for users who had a UK/US account a little while ago and it was later confirmed by Ask PlayStation Support account, as well as the official PlayStation Network support website. The current status shows all systems offline with a red flag on the support page as seen below.

While it is highly unlikely that this issue will persist for longer, a similar issue cropped up recently for PSN that forced users to play their games offline aside from the digital games, which usually lock out the user profile if there is no online account signed for a console that is doesn’t have the main account activated on it. This means if you are account sharing your PSN profile, you might be locked out of your games if you don’t have your main account set as active on your PS4.

While Sony is working on resolving the issue as soon as possible, users who were hoping to play some of the latest games like Dragon Ball FighterZ and Monster Hunter World will have to wait a while before they can play them online.
