PUBG Update Version 1.01 (PS4) Patch Notes List Improved FPS, Graphic Option & New Map

PUBG update version 1.01 is out now on PS4. This is the first pre-launch update for PUBG on PS4 and it seems to add a graphical option to the game as well as new snow map: Vikendi.

PUBG (PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds) is out today for the PS4 and ahead of the launch, there is a new update released for it. The patch notes for this update mention adding a Vikendi Map to the game. This map was leaked on the PUBG subreddit and can be viewed in full from here. It seems to be themed around Snow.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds update version 1.01 is only for PS4. The game has a separate update cycle for the PC and Xbox One version. Smartphones also get their own update.

Here are the patch notes for PUBG update version 1.01 on the PS4 (via). They are fairly short but since there is no official changelog available, we have to settle on them for now.

  • Improved graphic option regarding PS4 Pro.
  • Improved performance to increase the frame rate.
  • New map added: Vikendi.

The new map Vikendi will join Erangel, Sanhok, and Miramar as the other playable maps that will be available on the PS4 on launch. As for the download size of the game, it is now up for pre-load and requires roughly 33.5 GB of data to be downloaded.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is available now for the Xbox One, PC and Smartphones. It will launch on December 7th, 2018 for the PS4.
