Following the release of Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide on consoles just around ten days ago, developer Fatshark has just released a brand new trailer for the upcoming free DLC titled Quests and Contracts.
The DLC will add three major new features to the game, Quests, Contracts and Boons. Quests offer multiple rewards to players such as weapons and armors. To acquire these, you need to complete the quests by completing a specific number of contracts associated with said quest. Boons are basically buffs, such as damage reduction, that can be gained for a limited time period by turning in contracts.
Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide is a multiplayer-only, first person co-op shooter, with game mechanics that are very similar in structure to Valve’s Left for Dead series, although the focus is more on a combination of melee, magic and gunplay.
The game’s plot is set in the Warhammer Fantasy universe, in the city of Ubersreik, which has been overrun by rat-like enemies known as the Skaven. Together players must fight off hordes of these enemies in order to further progress through the stages, at which point, a dice roll system is used to determine the loot that players recieve.
Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide is now available for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and the PC.
