Ubisoft has responded to fans asking about the Halloween event, hinting at it happening soon. They have also commented on implementing crossplay support for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
October is the month of Halloween and almost every major Games As A Service (GAAS) usually gets event themed updates. Rainbow Six Siege hasn’t officially received any such event so far so fans are curious to see what Ubisoft has in store for the game.
There is a tweet from Ubisoft that playfully hints at such an event. It might not be the confirmation that you are looking for, but it is currently the only acknowledgment that they have shared regarding this month’s event.
Wait, there's going to be a Halloween event? 🤷

Crossplay is another topic that comes up occasionally, especially for multiplayer games with no ability to play between the different platforms. In the case of Rainbow Six Siege, there is no crossplay supported at all but now that Sony has dropped the ball on crossplay and allowed it on games like Fortnite as an early test, perhaps more games will implement support for it.
Regarding the support for crossplay, the official Twitter account stated that they have no plans for it now, but they are always open to improving the experience of Rainbow Six Siege for users.
There are no plans for crossplay at this time, but we are always open to improving the Rainbow experience.
