Sony has announced that their action platformer title, Ratchet & Clank will be released for PS4 in April 2016. Ratchet & Clank is a re-imagining of the original Ratchet & Clank that was released way back on the PS2 in 2000.
The PS4 version of the game will feature a more thrilling experience as it will deliver the original story in a new way. This remake will feature an improved gameplay, advanced controls, new planets to create havoc on, new boss fights, brand new characters and a lot more. The story of the game is based on the upcoming Ratchet & Clank film which will be released on April 29, 2016.
“Coinciding with the major motion picture, the game tells the story from the perspective of Captain Qwark, so you can expect a different (more… Qwarktastic) twist on events.” According to the official PlayStation Blog. “We hope that you’re looking forward to being able to romp around the Solana Galaxy once again with the whole gang – Ratchet, Clank, Qwark, Big Al, Dr. Nefarious, and the evil Chairman Drek, as well as many brand new characters – as much as we are!”
Ratchet & Clank will be released for PS4 on April 15th, 2016 in France and on April 20, 2016 in the rest of the world. The game was originally scheduled to arrive in 2015 but it was delayed to 2016 to coincide with launch of the movie. Pre-orders for the game have also been made live on the EU PlayStation Store by Sony. The PS4 version of the game is being developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Computer Entertainment.
