Red Dead Online Domain Registered By Take-Two Interactive

If you have been keeping up with gaming news even a lit bit these past few days, it should come as no surprise to you that Red Dead Redemption 2 is now a real thing and will we arriving in Fall of next year.

What might actually surprise you is that Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar Game’s Parent organization, has also registered the domain RedDeadOnline.com. Typing in REDDEAD.ONLINE on the ICANN WHOIS website clearly shows the registrant as Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc.

Following the success of the highly popular GTA Online, it would make absolute sense if Rockstar Games decides to pursue a similar mode for Red Dead Redemption, especially since GTA online has generated over $500 million from optional microtransactions for the company.

I would also like to point out that domain names can be registered by anyone, and while this is in itself no confirmation that Red Dead Online may be an actual thing, it does hint at a possibility in the future. For all we know, Take-Two Interactive might just have registered the domain to protect their trademark.
