Rockstar Games has delayed their hotly anticipated sequel to Red Dead Redemption from its initial Fall 2017 release window to Spring 2018. They have accomponied this announcement with a set of screenshots from the game that give us a tease of what to expect from this Western shooter.
“We are very sorry for any disappointment this delay causes, but we are firm believers in delivering a game only when it is ready. We are really excited to bring you more details about the game this summer. In the meantime, please enjoy this selection of new screenshots from the world of Red Dead Redemption 2,” said Rockstar in an official blog post.
Rockstar Games have also shared the following set of screenshots from the game that give us our first glimpse at the main cast of characters, although they are all artistically placed in shadows so their identity isn’t revealed.
Red Dead Redemption 2 was originally revealed by Rockstar Games with a short teaser trailer that also confirmed a release window of Fall 2018. The game is currently set to launch on PS4 and Xbox One and there is no confirmation about a potential PC version, but judging from the history of Rockstar Games, don’t be surprised to see them release a PC version an year after the console release.
