Red Dead Redemption 2 is out in the wild and the user with early access has shared the install size and day one update information.
Red Dead Redemption 2 trophy list has already been leaked online. The person who has posted the trophy list claims to have access to the game, and he has previously done the same with Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 by posting the trophy list early. Only those with a retail copy can see the trophy list, and it won’t sync to official servers until the launch.
In other news, he shared the install size for the game which puts to rest the rumors of the game shipping on 2 discs. According to the user with an early access of the retail copy, the install size for the PS4 version is 50 GB. It also has a day one update that is around 3 GB although it is entirely possible that this size will increase with another update that might release near the launch of the game.
While the information shared by the user has been correct in the past, we still recommend taking it with a grain of salt since this is not official. The file size requirements for the PS4 version were listed as over 100 GB, which actually fits the 50 GB size requirement because to install a game, you need at least twice the space available on hard disk. So 50 GB with a 3 GB day one update will technically require 106 GB of hard disk space to install the game.
Red Dead Redemption 2 will run at a native 4K resolution on the Xbox One X. The full map size of the game was leaked earlier, and later Rockstar confirmed that the game will also include the entire map featured in the first Red Dead Redemption.
Red Dead Redemption 2 will launch on the PS4 and Xbox One on October 26th.
