PS4 Pro hardware has been upgraded as a new iterative version has launched alongside Red Dead Redemption 2 bundle.
Spider-Man was the last limited edition PS4 Pro which followed the 500 million limited edition. It was still a CUH-71XX series console as seen in the image below.
If you compare it to the Red Dead Redemption 2 bundle, it features an iterative upgrade to CUH-72XX series. This is always a minor upgrade in most cases and as we saw with the 500 million limited edition console, this has resulted in less noise and quieter fans.
The box art clearly shows that the console is an upgrade over the previous bundles. As for what it entails, this remains to be seen and will likely be found by a technical analysis of the console once it is out on October 26th.
Just like the PS4 Pro, Sony has also updated the PS4 Slim model as we covered earlier. This was a case of a minor iterative upgrade so maybe the same thing will apply here.
Red Dead Redemption 2 will be out on October 26th for the PS4 and Xbox One. Recently, it was found that the game will require more than 100 GB of hard disk space to install data and the limited time exclusive content period was officially clarified to be just 30 days for the PS4.
