Red Dead Redemption is going to get a sequel and this isn’t really a secret by now, as it has already been leaked numerous times and even confirmed by the CEO of Take Two Interactive that they plan to launch a new game this year. Red Dead Redemption 2 would fit the bill here as the game has been rumored for a while and with E3 drawing near, there is a good chance that Take Two Interactive might reveal this brand new game at E3 2016.
Red Dead Redemption was a huge success for Take Two Interactive coming hot of the heels of Grand Theft Auto IV. Red Dead Redemption was a critical and commercial hit and won numerous game of the year awards. Looking at the success it received, there was no doubt that Take Two had planned a sequel.
While we haven’t received any official screenshot from the game, this could be out first look at what to expect from the upcoming Red Dead based on a leak from an artist portfolio. The source of the leak is reddit where one user managed to dig into the files shared by an artist who worked for Rockstar Games, and found the brand new screenshot of a Red Dead game that looks to be developed on the new RAGE engine utilized by Grand Theft Auto V. You can check this screenshot below.
While most people are speculating that it could be a brand new Red Dead game, some are assuming that Rockstar is developed a remaster for the original Red Dead and this could be a screenshot from that remaster. In either case, we will find out about it soon enough at the upcoming E3, which will start on June 13th.
