Earlier today, Rockstar Games released the trailer for their upcoming western shooter, Red Dead Redemption 2. Fans have been asking for a new Red Dead Redemption game for years now, and Rockstar Games gave them just what they wanted.
The trailer revealed that the game will be coming out sometime in Fall, 2017. So we still have a year to go until we finally get our hands on the western shooter. Alongside Rockstar Games’ announcement, Sony also made an announcement today related to the game.
Sony announced that players on the PS4 will be receiving exclusive content for Red Dead Redemption 2. In a PlayStation blog published earlier today, Sony revealed that PS4 users will be getting “first access to earn select online content” in Red Dead Redemption 2.
This means that PS4 users might get timed exclusive, or maybe even permanent exclusives. This deal sounds similar to the deal that Sony made with Bungie for Destiny. Currently, PS4 users have exclusive content in Destiny, such as a Strike and a few weapons. The exclusive strikes and weapons are not available for Xbox One Destiny players.
This makes the PS4 an ideal platform to play the upcoming western shooter on. So far we have no idea what Sony are going to offer as exclusive content. We will just have to wait and see.
